ERCIM News, the journal of the European Reseach Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM), reports on actions of ERCIM partners and aims to reflect ERCIM’s contribution to the European Community in Information Technology. ERCIM News is published both in print and online in html, pdf, and epub formats and has a circulation of 6,000 printed copies and more than 7,500 subscribers to the online edition.
Through short articles and news items, it provides a forum for the exchange of information between institutes and also with the broader scientific community. Each issue focuses on a special topic determined by the editorial board. For the current issue on the special topic “Pandemic Modeling and Simulation”, DEXHELPP (in cooperation with dwh GmbH and TU Wien) also submitted an article. The article by Štefan Emrich and Niki Popper, entitled “How an Agent-Based Population Model Became a Key-Element of the Austrian Effort Against COVID-19”, was recently accepted and was published in Issue #124 of ERCIM NEWS.
