This project aims representing and analyzing frequencies of selected performances in the area of medical imaging.
Medical imaging is the technique of creating visual representations of the interior of a body, including ultrasound, X-ray, computed tomography (CT), or Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Health Technology Assessment (LBI-HTA) conducts a project to analyze the frequencies of selected medical imaging performances. This is a challenge since different federal provinces in Austria use different reimbursement schemes. These data are merged in the catalog of ambulant performances by the Main Association of Austrian Social Security Institutions.
DEXHELPP supports this project with defining suitable aggregates, performing age-standardizations, and plotting results on interactive maps for explorative analyses.
The project was conducted by order of Ludwig Boltzmann Institut – Health Technology Assessment (LBI-HTA).
